Lapland is known as a winter wonderland in the Arctic Circle, it is famous for its snow-dusted forests, Snowmen, and as the official home of Santa Claus. But here too is where the Elves make presents for children in the Lapland Toy Factory, where ‘elf and safety’ is a top priority. A train transports gifts to the tree from the factory, whilst another one moves the Elves from their caves, and transports more presents around. Santa and his Reindeer have just launched from the mountain, whilst skaters have fun on the frozen pond unaware. The crowd have made a huge snowman tunnel for a train and the main tree in the centre is a focus for the townsfolk to swap gifts, and have fun in their special Winter Wonderland.

Snowy Pines began Sept 8th with a brief to be ready for the Stalham Light Switch-On End of November. It was complete in 8 weeks approx. Made on insulation foam board surrounded by wood for lightness and speed. It uses 2 analogue SS2A shuttle controllers. Has three audience operated switches for Cave Light, Sound FX, and Snowman Lights.
