The Triple Crown of Rodding has created a tremendous buzz throughout our industry. This grassroots event has attracted the best cars, trucks, people and brands in hot rodding to Nashville, Tennessee to celebrate friendship, craftsmanship and philanthropy. Brian Brennan from Modern Rodding is about to give you an inside look at the 2024 Triple Crown of Rodding. We’ll go behind the scenes with the event founders to hear the story of how they started the event, we’ll follow along with one of the celebrity judges as he picks his award winner and we’ll experience first hand what it’s like to compete. By the end you’ll see why you can’t miss next year’s Triple Crown of Rodding.

To tell the story of the Triple Crown of Rodding, we have to start with the founders: Bobby Alloway and Gary Case. Bobby, the owner of Alloway’s Hot Rod Shop, is the builder of iconic and trendsetting street rods, and winner of all the major awards. Gary founded the Sport Truck Nationals in 1989, which became the nations premier truck event, and has owned multiple companies over the years such as Hot Rod Hardware.

Bobby & Gary came together to start the Triple Crown of Rodding with the idea of emulating the old Hot Rod shows. While this event is grassroots, it was already named by USA Today as one of the top three events in the US. We believe that Bobby & Gary started the Triple Crown of Rodding with the right intentions and it really shines through.

Over 2,000 cars made the journey to the Nashville Speedway to attend this year’s Triple Crown of Rodding. Of those cars, 400 decided to enter into the award judging. The custom trophies for the awards are amongst the most coveted in our industry. The awards include:

Our hobby wouldn’t be what it is today without the support of the aftermarket industry. Many of the people behind these brands started their business out of necessity: they needed parts that didn’t exist and that drive to innovate continues to this day. Over 160 automotive brands came out to support Bobby & Gary. We are thankful for the brands that helped support this Documentary: Billet Specialties, Dakota Digital, Design Engineering inc., Forgeline, Powermaster performance and Steele Rubber Products.
