Bundespolizei | German Federal Police | Tribute 2019

The Bundespolizei (engl.: Federal Police) is one of three federal police institutions in Germany. The Bundespolizei arose out of the Bundesgrenzschutz (engl.: Federal Border Guard) and is subordinate to the Federal Ministry of the Interior. The main missions of the Bundespolizei are: Border Security, transportation security on German airports and railways, mobile response service for events like demonstrations or football matches, and counter-terrorism. The famous counter-terrorism unit GSG9 is part of the Bundespolizei.
