Poppy Playtime is a first-person horror puzzle game where the player explores the abandoned Playtime Co. toy factory, receiving a letter to return and uncover the mystery behind the staff's disappearance, using a special GrabPack to solve puzzles and navigate, all while being hunted by monstrous, living toys like Huggy Wuggy and uncovering dark secrets about the company's experiments on children. The player teams up with the titular doll, Poppy, to escape and expose the factory's sinister truth, leading to deeper explorations and confrontations with other killer toys.
