Spaces of experience: temporary architecture and club culture. By IE School of Architecture & Design

In the club we meet, dance, discover and let ourselves go. Arriving at the club, we go to the cloakroom, look for the bar and find a space to dance in. The long chats in the toilet, the greetings to friends on the stairs, in the courtyard or on the dance floor. The club envelops us, at the same time as it compartmentalises and expands us.
Club design goes far beyond determining where we stand. Architecture plays a fundamental role in the club experience and also in its culture. How are these spaces conceived? Are they adapted to the needs of a generation? What is the relationship between the local culture and the club culture?

Thanks to a collaboration with IE School of Architecture and Design, we have organised a round table to examine the process and role of creation in these spaces, whether they are fixed or ephemeral, but always vibrant.
