This is an egg incubator that I just made from parts I had lying around.

NOTE: Yes, there is exposed 120VAC currently. As a former electrician, I am aware of the slight risk involved there. The exposed parts will be covered shortly.

There is a humidity / temperature sensor located on the back wall that sends readings to the Arduino. The Arduino turns the light on and off to regulate temperature, and the fan to control humidity.

The period select switch is for selecting whether or not the eggs are in the last 3 days of incubation. The humidity needs to be higher then, so this lets the Arduino know that.

I didn't have an LCD screen handy, so I am using LEDs for status indication.

I set it up and logged the data coming from the sensor for a few hours, then graphed it. I did that a few times, and adjusted the set points to keep both parameters within range.

The eggs are set to hatch on 5/1/20, so we will see how it goes.
