TRIP REPORT - United Airlines (Q300, ERJ-145), St Louis to Roanoke

Описание к видео TRIP REPORT - United Airlines (Q300, ERJ-145), St Louis to Roanoke

Alright everyone, here's the much-requested footage from my trip out to Roanoke this past April! I did this trip on United via Washington-Dulles. For the first leg, I rode a Trans States ERJ-145 from St. Louis to Dulles. I've taken this exact same flight in the past on my way to Norfolk (   • TRIP REPORT - United Airlines (ERJ-14...  ). This time, I was treated to a view of some amazing cloud formations as we climbed out of St. Louis, and we landed from the North at Dulles. The real highlight of this video is the second leg of the trip. Originally scheduled to be on a 37-seat Bombardier Q200 turboprop, United swapped out the aircraft to a larger 50-seat Q300 about an hour before the flight. To make things even nicer, there were only 13 passengers onboard. Talk about an empty flight! Needless to say, I got a row to myself. I love catching rides on aircraft with propellors whenever possible, and a beautiful ride through the Virginia mountains onboard a turboprop was pretty cool. The trip ends in Roanoke, where I spent a few days with my good friend Dieselducy.

My flight back was on United via Chicago O'Hare.
