Pupils at Sudo Electric Technical school do not receive a standard Korean high school education. These alternative schools are aimed at providing practical training in IT, mechanic and related fields and are based on a German model, the "Meister schools". The skills students aquire are needed by companies in the country and are promoted by the government.
