"Being strong means... being free" (Haikyuu)

Hoshiumi is Haikyuu's "Modern Little Giant", but getting there was far from easy. Haikyuu is packed to the brim with inspiring lines and moments that really make you reflect. Today we're going to focus on one that applies to our trio of short kings: Hoshiumi, Hinata and Nishinoya.

Hoshiumi spent 8 years on the bench growing up, and it would have been extremely easy for him to have simply given up after watching his brother surpass him so easily. Instead of allowing the door to be closed to him, he opted to find the freedom found via strength.

It's a journey which mirrors Hinata's struggle to get over being called "The Greatest Decoy" and also Nishinoya's post time-skip adventure.
