Prevue Channel 16 December 1994

Описание к видео Prevue Channel 16 December 1994

From Comcast Cable of Central New Jersey

The ending of the title bout of the Ultimate Fighting Championship IV is interrupted (two minutes before it's completion at 11pm) as Comcast did not allow for any extra time for the PPV event. This was quite common during live events like this in the 90's and the same thing would occur during the end of UFC 7 in 1995.

What you get is 5 1/2 minutes of the old Prevue Channel from 12/16/1994 with the occasional glimpse of what you should be seeing (Royce Gracie's victory) if Comcast hadn't messed up in between Prevue segments.

Additionally, Comcast had not yet upgraded to expanded cable yet in all areas, so they advertise the fact that the PPV barker channel Sneak Prevue will replace the scrolling program guide in the future. Comcast would then go back on this and have Prevue Channel for 25 minutes and Sneak Prevue for 5 each half hour, leaving the idea of even having Sneak Prevue completely pointless.

Comcast was Comcast back then as well.

NOTE: Please forgive the audio issues with this video. I'm archiving the last of my inherited VHS tapes (using my dad's old VCR which has an issue with the audio out connector), so the audio is left channel only. And that weird buzzing noise is because the left channel works but not great. Someday I might get the energy to sync the right channel with the left.
