Golden Embers

This is for my family, as a memory of our little sister, a mother and friend to everyone. Thank you for listening. The lyrics are really special to me. I lost my little sister to cancer when she was 55 years old. She played piano and organ for her church, and was a driving force with a womens choir in Mt. Ayr, IA. I grew up with her and I singing anywhere we were working or playing on the farm, with calves, sheep, pigs chickens and geese. The sparrows were a constant in and out of the barns and lofts, singing as they flew, and quiet as they landed. It's as if this song was written for us. I still can see, in my mind, the Cadillac carrying her to the cemetery.
