Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver weren't the games to introduce following Pokemon, but they were by far the best. These games delve into the feature in much more detail both mechanically and aesthetically than any other Pokemon game. In this video, I also briefly cover other versions of following Pokemon, some good (especially Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee and Pokemon Yellow), and some VERY bad (looking at you, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Sword and Shield DLC). I'm personally very nostalgic for the Nintendo DS era though, and this was a big reason why I love and I think so many others love gen 4 of Pokemon so much. It's also why Heartgold and Soulsilver are some of the best remakes, it helped completely revamp Johto and Kanto and make them feel very fresh. Thanks so much for watching!
