Dover/Murphy Traction Scenic Elevators (TBMA) at The Galt House Hotel Suite Tower, Louisville, KY

TBMA = To Be Modded Again

We all know and love these things!!!! That's right, the 18 Story Dover Glass Elevators at The Galt House Hotel that Andrew originally discovered that were modded with a VERY UNIQUE I'm assuming Adam's? VR Fixture, and from the looks of it, these are the most famous elevators in Louisville!!! The cabs are very basic, and the fixtures honestly are too despite their rarity, and I wish they were original.... These do offer VERY NICE Views and are pretty smooth and efficient though!!!! Despite this though, these unfortunately are going to be MODDED AGAIN/TOTALLY REPLACED next year by Murphy once the Mod/Replacement on the Neighboring Rivue Tower is complete. While I know Murphy will do a good job after seeing the Rivue Towers' New Elevators, these being modded again is TOTALLY Unnecessary being these were already modded not super long ago, and these run just fine and are perfectly efficient as is...... On the positive side though, the ANNOYING Floor Passing Chime from the first mod will be gone!!!! That all being said, enjoy these VERY NICE and FAMOUS Glass Elevators that I have to give a HUGE THANKS to the one and only Dieselducy for discovering!!!!!

Installed: 1985 (Relay Controlled Dover with Newer Traditional Fixtures)

Modernized: Circa 2000s or Early 2010s (Murphy with New Controllers, New ADAMS? VR Fixtures and Call Stations, New Lanterns, External Indicators, etc. Motors, Doors and Cabs were kept as is)

To be Modded AGAIN/TOTALLY REPLACED NEXT YEAR in 2020 by Murphy again once the Rivue Tower is done!!!!
