Why does Turmeric glow under black light?

This is how you can make turmeric glow in the dark using a black light!

Instructions
If you don't want your fingers or nails to be stained yellow, then wear gloves. Fill a small container with isopropyl alcohol.
Go to a dark room (like a bathroom!)
Turn your black light on and point it at your container.
Slowly sprinkle the turmeric into your container.

Safety
Isopropyl alcohol is flammable so keep away from flames.
This isn't really a safety note, but turmeric will stain your counter tops and fingers, so just be careful with that!!

Disposal
Do not pour isopropyl alcohol down your drain. Because it is flammable, you won't want that stuff sitting in your sewer or water pipes. Instead, let it sit out to evaporate overnight and then dilute the remaining contents to pour down the drain.
