The debate around women’s sports has been worn out and it’s tired.

The jokes are old and they are a reflection of a how immature society is when it comes to athletic accomplishments across the board.

You rarely hear an elite male athlete criticize women’s athletes. It’s always non-athletes who have never accomplished anything.

And that is the root of the problem for why women’s sports aren’t as popular.

Men’s sports and women’s sports have two different audiences.

Right now, 99% of sports marketing is targeted towards men.

This is interesting considering Mom controls what consumer products the family is going to spend their money on.

Overall, men are too emotionally immature to become generational fans of women’s sports.

Women consumers have shown they will pass on generational brands (Barbie was the highest grossing film in 2023).

Yet, sports marketers continue to force women’s sports to a demographic that disrespects it (men).

In this video, I give an answer of why this is and solutions for how the perception of women’s sports can change in the future.

🤔 Who Am I?

If this is your first time here, Welcome To The Pond 🦆🦢. I’m a former Division I College Basketball Coach (VCU & Jacksonville) and I was the Director Of Recruiting & Advance Scouting at high school basketball powerhouse Montverde Academy. During that time I sent 6 Players to the NBA and 53 players Division I.

After years of working in grassroots, high school and college basketball, I wanted to take control of my own career and decided to be an entrepreneur. I studied music marketing and released 3 solo albums under my artist name “Dorian”. My 3rd album, “True Support”, charted #1 on iTunes and accumulated millions of streams. While I was learning about the music industry, I made videos educating other independent artists as well with many of them going viral across the 5 major social media platforms.

God has re-directed my path and has me focused on my original goal, to make the NBA. I aspire to be G League coach as the entry point for the NBA. My goal is for build patriarchs through the game of basketball.
