Workers’ Party Pritam Singh has announced that senior party leaders Leon Perara and Nicole Seah have resigned from the party over an extramarital affair. READ MORE: https://str.sg/iiZQ

Making the announcement at a press conference on Wednesday (July 19), Mr Singh said that the party’s constitution “requires candidates to be honest and frank in their dealings with the party and the people of Singapore.”

But Mr Singh said that Mr Perera’s conduct had fallen “short of the standards expected” and is “unacceptable”.
