This is the first of two parts where I share some different methods of creating surfaces whilst highlighting the problems you may come across when modelling them if you are not careful. Also be looking at the quality of those surfaces with the zebra analysis tool.

Part two will show a combination of features being used to make the slightly more complex geometry surrounding the ignition barrel.
