Tapering or Stopping Clonazepam (Klonopin) Withdrawal Strategies Philadelphia

Описание к видео Tapering or Stopping Clonazepam (Klonopin) Withdrawal Strategies Philadelphia

Clonazepam or Klonopin can be difficult to taper or stop, due to withdrawal. If someone has taken this medication for a long period of time, takes higher end doses, takes more than is prescribed, or drinks alcohol, this can make it even more difficult to do so. With that being said, many individuals who have tried to decrease this medication, do not realize that their prescriber can order 0.125 or 0.25 dissolvable wafers, to help individuals taper more slowly, and use more consistent doses (instead of breaking a tablet into a large number of pieces, and non "exact" doses). Providers can also send in even lower (or smaller decreases in doses) to compounding pharmacies. If you have struggled with tapering off of klonopin or any benzodiazepine, we would urge you to speak to your provider directly about these options. Do not decrease or stop these medications (with that said) without their advice, as doing so can have serious (even fatal) consequences.
