Lauren is another Australian creating ASMR video's, she had purchased the OKM II Classic Binaural microphones but was having trouble using them, i encouraged her to purchase a Zoom H4N recorder probably the best value for money device to record audio from many different types of microphones.

In this video i show the creation of an acoustic dummy head, mount the OKM II Classic Binaural that belongs to Lauren and do a number of 3D Tests with these mics and my normal mics.

Lauren sent me a old laptop for me to service + the OKM mics, upon receiving the laptop i found it had been damaged with a cracked screen, you would not believe my luck i just happen to have a old screen that was a perfect fit from a abandoned laptop with dead main board in the shop where i worked.
So i went to work :
1st cleaned laptop of dust in cooling system
2nd replaced the laptop screen
3rd run full seatools hard drive test on hard drive
4th backed up data
5th fresh install of windows 7 using genuine license and activating. (from Windows 7 OEM disc so none of the manufacture garbage was on it)
6th Setup supplied video editing software, installed Avira Premium Anti Virus with 2 yr subscription

ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response it is described as a pleasurable tingling sensation that can be felt most commonly in the back of the scalp and down the spine but not limited to these area's.
I try to describe ASMR experience to people using something common like visiting a hairdresser, do you find the experience of someone focusing on you, the gentle touching of your hair, the sound of the scissors moving around you relaxing?
That would be a relaxing experience, watching ASMR video is like recreating that type of experience.
I believe most people can experience ASMR, to experience ASMR you need to find you trigger, common triggers will often be related to one person focusing on you or another person and watching this person focus or give them attention will trigger it.

Triggers:
Watching massage ** Baba Worlds Greatest Head Massage **
Watching a person focus and describe something there passionate about ** Bob Ross deep voice talking about painting, scraping sounds, brushing sounds. The forefather of ASMR **
Whispering ** Maria GentleWhispering the Queen of ASMR **

Listening to someones voice & the way the talk
Soft spoken voices & certain accents
Hand Movements
Watching Someone Focus on a task
Personal Attention - like a hair cut
Any type of Role Play the best ones are ones that involve personal attention to you, examinations, face brushing ect
Watching someone draw or paint
Sounds : Crinkle, Tapping, Scratching & multi layering of different sounds together

Almost anything can be a "trigger' for a persons ASMR everybody is different, you just have to find yours.
