Words must mean something if they are to serve a purpose. Yet all too often, transformative and transformational are used with little real qualitative value but rather as broadly aspirational notions.

In the first presentation of the “Transformative Coaching” series, Nick Bolton, founder of Animas Centre for Coaching, sets out to answer the fundamental question, “What is Transformative Coaching?”

Drawing from a range of sources that form the heritage of the transformative concept, Nick will explore how Animas developed its own unique philosophical and psychological approach to coaching that is both transformative yet also intensely humanistic.

He will explore the four dimensions of transformative coaching devised within Animas mapping them to the evolution of coaching in particular and the talking professions as a whole.

This presentation will provide the foundations for the remainder of the five lecture series.
