Rajasthan the land of maharajas and temples. Not only famous for it rich cultures but also the fair which is held every year. This is the world’s largest camel festival and the greatest fair of Rajasthan the PUSHKAR MELA.

Pushkar Fair is an annual week long carnival that happens every year after Diwali and is celebrated with a great zeal by the people of Rajasthan. The 100 years old Pushkar Mela is famous for bringing thousands of camels, cattle, and horses together. This is a unique exhibition that attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world. Apart from trading the livestock the main attractions of the fiesta are cultural performances, magic shows, longest mustache competition and many more.

The fair is primarily celebrated to glorify the Kartik Purnima Festival, which takes place during the full moon day according to the Hindu Lunar month of Kartik. Pilgrims take a holy dip on the auspicious occasion of kartikya poornima and pay their respects at the Brahma Mandir.
