Welcome Aboard the Las Vegas Monorail! This system has a total of seven stations located near the many hotels and entertainment options along the Las Vegas Strip. The monorail starts the northbound route from the MGM Grand and goes all the way up to Sahara before turning around to repeat the stops for the southbound route.

Also, this monorail system has a special connection to the Walt Disney World Monorail System in Florida. This is because when the Las Vegas Monorail first opened in 1993, it operated with two Mark IV monorail trains from the Walt Disney World Monorail. Since the first segment of the Las Vegas system only had two stations, MGM Grand and Bally’s, it only required two trains. Therefore, Walt Disney World supplied the two trains.
