Gravity Slate Train - Bygones Weekend 2021 - Ffestiniog Preserved Narrow Gauge Welsh Railway

Описание к видео Gravity Slate Train - Bygones Weekend 2021 - Ffestiniog Preserved Narrow Gauge Welsh Railway

Footage taken at this weekend at the Ffestiniog railway Bygones Weekend. The Gravity stale train was hauled up from Minffordd, with a stop at Tan-y-Bwlch, to Dduallt by Double Fairlie Merddin Emrys. There, the engine was detached and the train ran back by gravity to Minffordd

This re-enacts how the slate trains originally ran down to Porthmadog during the 1840’s and 1850’s until the first steam locos, Mountaineer and The Princess were delivered in 1863

Thank you for watching
