Young Shah Rukh Khan in a candid, long interview, cig in hand: definition of star has gone a bit low

Shahrukh Khan: "I think everybody who has been a star at one point has had acting abilities in them and a few. The definition of star has gone a bit low. If a star is someone who can pull in the audience for just one or two days, I don't think that is right. If a star is someone who has earned a maximum amount of money in the industry then again that is not a star. I personally believe that a star is someone who can call the audience to the auditorium keep them... for that two hours and give them their money's worth in terms of money whether he is playing a good guy, a bad guy, a girl whatever. Mr Anupam Kher is a star. I believe a star is someone who can call the audience into the auditorium, keep them riveted for that two hours and give them their money's worth in terms of performance whether he's playing a good guy or a bad guy or a girl."
