Boottest Qrafter e-Qruiser 600+ door Watersport-TV

Bij sommige boten zie je direct al aan de buitenkant dat het een product van deze tijd is. Bij de Qrafter zie je dat ook in de naam, Qrafter en dan is dit ook nog de e-Qruiser, ook met een Q natuurlijk. Die e- staat voor de elektrische aandrijving. Wij testen de + uitvoering met elektrische schroefasmotor.

Laten we beginnen met waar de Qrafter is ontstaan. Een verhuurder merkte dat zijn huurders dol waren op de elektrische, aluminium loungeboten. Regelmatig kreeg hij de vraag of ze ook te koop waren. Daarop ontwikkelde hij een eleganter model, meer een cruiser dan zo’n onverwoestbare loungeboot. De Qruiser werd opgezet met onderhoudsvriendelijkheid en duurzaam elektrisch varen als uitgangspunt. Voor de aandrijving werd in eerste instantie gekozen voor een elektrische Torqeedo 2 of 4 kW buitenboordmotor in de bun. 
 
Deze stekkerversie werd een succes. Voor een sloep of tender is elektrisch varen tegenwoordig de norm. Samen met het Friese Waterworld is daarna gewerkt aan een tender met elektrische schroefasaandrijving. Deze is dit voorjaar gelanceerd en dat is de Qrafter e-Qruiser 600+. De 4kW Waterworld motor past perfect in de filosofie van de bouwers, want deze is ook duurzaam, onderhoudsarm en zorgeloos. Met deze stekkertender vaar je zo weg: je haalt alleen de stuurhoes er af, legt de kussens op de plek en je kunt zo wegvaren. Het onderhoud is minimaal en eigenlijk beperkt tot schoonmaken. Standaard wordt de Qrafter geleverd in blank aluminium, maar de buitenkant kan worden gecoat met een tweecomponenten epoxy coating. Je ziet vaak dat aluminium boten worden gewrapt met plasticfolie maar dat is kwetsbaar en een scheurtje kun je niet repareren. Deze coating wel en daarom kiest Qrafter voor coating.

With some boats, you can see immediately on the outside that it is a product of our time. With the Qrafter, this is also visible in the name, Qrafter and then this is also the e-Qruiser, also with a Q of course. The e- stands for electric drive. We test the + version with electric propeller shaft drive.
Let's start with where the Qrafter originated. A landlord noticed that his tenants loved the electric, aluminium lounge boats. He was regularly asked if they were for sale. So he developed a more elegant model, more of a cruiser than an indestructible lounge boat. The Qruiser was designed with low maintenance and sustainable electric sailing in mind. For propulsion, a Torqeedo 2 or 4 kW electric outboard motor was initially chosen in the bunker.
Plug-in version
This plug-in version was a success. Nowadays, electric sailing is the norm for a sloop or tender. Together with Waterworld from Friesland, we then worked on a tender with an electric propeller shaft drive. This was launched this spring and is the Qrafter e-Qruiser 600+. The 4kW Waterworld engine fits perfectly in the philosophy of the builders, because it is also durable, low in maintenance and carefree. With this plug-in tender, you can sail away in no time: just take off the steering cover, put the cushions in place and you can sail away. The maintenance is minimal and actually limited to cleaning. By default, the Qrafter is delivered in blank aluminium, but the exterior can be coated with a two-component epoxy coating. Aluminium boats are often wrapped in plastic foil, but this is vulnerable and a crack cannot be repaired. This coating can and that is why Qrafter chooses coating.
