So as y'all probably know by now, I'm pretty locked in when it comes to arcade finders. Between Zenius and Pinball Map, I try to keep up with as many places as I can find that have arcade games or pinball machines available to play. So my thanks go out to channel regular @djargus on this one for adding this place to Pinball Map a few weeks back. The Golf Zone in Flanders, New Jersey is -- as the name implies -- primarily a mini golf course and driving range. However, inside the main building, they've got a small selection of arcade cabinets, pinball machines, pool tables, and even some golf simulators. Upon visiting them on a Tuesday evening, it was clear that this isn't their main focus of operation. All the games were powered down, but the pro shop's attendant was more than happy to turn them on for me. It was admittedly a pretty tiny collection. Between H2Overdrive and Terminator Salvation, that about does it for the arcade games... well, that and a couple of air hockey tables. Meanwhile, in another hallway, we've got a selection of four pinball machines on the older end of the spectrum. The most recent machine there was 2010's Iron Man from Stern, and the most vintage piece of silverball was a Bally Twilight Zone from 1993. I plan on revisiting this place at some point in the future to get a few games of mini golf in with the family, but to be perfectly honest, it's not anything worth going out of your way for on the arcade side of things.
