How to Replace a Ball Joint

In this video, I demonstrate how to replace a ball joint on the budget build golf. When we installed the replacement lower control arm on the car, the old ball joint didn’t seem to be faulty, however after being daily driven, the ball joint finally decided to let go.

Torque Specifications
3 Bolts Under Control Arm: 15 + additional 1/4 turn
Tie Rod End Nut: 33
End Link to Control Arm: 33
Axle Nut: 148 + loosen nut 1/2 turn + spin wheel 1/2 turn + 37 + additional 1/6 turn
