In a bold new escalation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it has struck and disabled a Hezbollah underground site in the Beaufort Ridge region of southern Lebanon.

According to the IDF, the site was used by the militant group to manage its fire and defense operations and had previously been dismantled in an earlier Israeli strike. However, fresh intelligence revealed attempts by Hezbollah to rehabilitate the facility—prompting renewed airstrikes.

The IDF says such activity is a direct violation of previous security understandings between Israel and Lebanon. As tensions along the northern border continue to rise, Israel has reaffirmed its commitment to preemptively neutralizing any threats from Hezbollah. The situation remains tense with further military responses not ruled out.
