The first Parish Church in Neustift was consecrated to St.George in 1516.
The Church was rebuilt in 1780 following a disastrous fire. It is the second largest village church in the whole of the Tyrol and has a magnificent interior.
Whenever I come to Neustift I visit the church to sit quietly remembering Briony and her love of the Stubai. We had many wonderful holidays here.
I always light candles for Briony and her younger sister Karen so tragically killed in a car accident.
