This is a history documentary video about Nurhaci's rise to power, and the fight towards to founding of the Qing Dynasty. From 1583, Nurhaci fought to unify the Jurchen tribes, who would later be reformed into the Manchu, under the rule of his son, Huang Taiji. I hope you enjoy it!
I hope the audio is manageable. I am sorry if it is on the quieter end, my editing skills are less than formidable.
[AUDIO AND SFX USED]
I sourced all of the audio (minus me) used in this project from two excellent free (with attribution) audio distribution sites; DOVA Syndrome and Zapsplat, along with the Youtube Audio Library. These were very helpful and many of the artists have cool personal websites.
I have separated the attributions into the respective site categories.
All short sound effects were sourced from Zapsplat.

Thank you to all the artists for making your music available for use!
[VISUALS]
The visuals originate from a mix of sources. Most images that I didn't make are from the Wikimedia Commons, such as the cutout of Nurhaci - I downloaded him off of Wikipedia and cut him out using GIMP. I made sure as best I could to only use images that I could, but if you see one that you made and 100% didn't allow anyone to use without attribution, please let me know and I will stick it here. Thank you!
{MAPS}
I created all maps throughout the video. For the map of Manchuria, I spent some time to get as accurate as possible with the placement of borders, with a little bit of "educated" guesswork where I couldn't find accurate information.
[SOURCES]
As the sources go, they are a mishmash. I gathered my information across many places, and I didn't log them all.. They all sourced back to the historical Manchurian Records of the Qing Dynasty, and say the same thing, so I am quite confident it is as accurate as I could get it.
If you are an expert, I would appreciate correcting if I got anything wrong.

[PRODUCTION]
Time for the necessary "behind the scenes". This is the first video I have made. Subsequesntly, it took me 4 months to make. There are a few parts of it that were made early on, and some that were made later, hence looking a bit better. I think that shows in some parts. Or maybe - the entire thing! Who knows other than you?
{VOICEOVER}
I hope your ears enjoyed the crackles of my over one decade old Logitech webcam microphone. I am not great at using my vocal cords, and speaking words for longer than 1 sentence is throat-exhausting. There were many re-records. There were a couple of noticable crackles sprinkled throuout the video, but I like the microphone.
[END OF DESCRIPTION]
Thank you for reading - or watching, this is a video platform. I would like to make some more history videos, because I like history. I like connecting with the past, and how people lived and loved - sometimes loved to conquer, like here.
This to me isn't a history documentary channel however, so I would like to do some more, maybe some other adventures. Whatever I think would be nice to share, with.. checks subscriber list tens of millions of people! That's what that says. OK will I finish now. Thank you for taking time to watch my video. I hope Youtube will allow me to help good people in some way.
