Astro is Ashka’s victim. There is nothing that they can do to get rid of him. At least not on their own, but Ashka won’t allow that. Instead they manipulate Astro, and feed them lies, digging them further and further into a pit of paranoia and distrust of everyone that they know. But especially Rowan. He is the only one that has dealt with Ashka before and he knows how to protect anyone against him. So he needs to be taken out first. Ashka cannot physically touch Rowan himself.
But Astro can.
