An exciting ride aboard the Superstition Mountain Museum Railroad (SMMRR) from the Engineer's view!

Описание к видео An exciting ride aboard the Superstition Mountain Museum Railroad (SMMRR) from the Engineer's view!

A narrated, scenic representation of the SMRR, as filmed along the tracks of the Superstition Mountain Railroad, located at the Superstition Mountain Museum, Apache Junction Arizona.

The movie highlights the key role that the introduction of the railroad to Arizona, during the period 1875 to 1930, played in the rapid growth of not only Arizona, but the entire American West. As you view the exhibit via the movie, you can see many of the wonders of Arizona before you in miniature.

Through the tunnels, over the bridges, passing through the small town of Dutchman’s Gulch (pop 434). Steaming right down the tracks beside the mountains, even passing alongside a sign indicating the way to the Lost Dutchman mine. (Be sure to watch for the model of the Benson AZ train derailment).

The 400+ square-foot educational Superstition Mountain Museum Railroad (SMRR) is one of several attractions found while touring the grounds of the Superstition Mountain Museum in Apache Junction, Arizona. The exhibit is a G-scale model representation of how railroads played a major role in the development of the copper mining industry, and the other “C’s” upon which Arizona’s economy is built - Cotton, Cattle, Climate and Citrus.
