The new Topo MTN Racer has become my favorite Topo. Designed for training and racing on aggressive trails, it packs a fun punch on getting you to the finish line efficiently and semi-comfortably. With plenty of outsole grip and durability to last for hundreds of miles, the MTN Racer is a great new addition to the Topo line-up.

I also mention the Topo MT3 and Topo Phantom in this review - both seem to accentuate characteristics that I tended to dislike in the MTN Racer without the necessary redeeming qualities of the MTN Racer. I gave them more than 50 review miles, but just couldn't find the love when there are other options out there that do what they intended but at better price-points.
