Good morning. My name is Francis, Ing Geomaticien. I have studied Geomatic during 5 years and I have 3 years of professional experience. In this third official tutorial, I will show you how to create and edit in attribute table of vector feature (Shapefile) in Arcgis. In the next turial, I will show you how to add the external shapefile feature (road, water…) and do the basic queries in ArcGIS. Before beginning, I invited you to register on my channel youtube and leave the comment to talk to me about your difficulty or your satisfaction in the practice of my tutorials. This tutorial will go through these steps.
Let’s start:
I will return to tutorial N°02: the creation and edition of shapefile in 5 min, to vectorise the feature polygons of West department boundaries and feature points of chief town. The feature will receive after creation of field name, the name of department and chief town.
- Create the field that receive the names of polygons and chief towns
- Activate the editor mod
- Add the name in attribute table
- Save editor and Stop editor
- Label with attribute table
- Save all the project
