Bromo Volcano is one of the five volcanoes emerged from a 10 km wide Tengger caldera, which last erupted around 45,000 yars ago.
First, we enjoyed sunrise at the rim of Tengger crater - a Penanjakan Mountain at the altitude of ~2,700 m. 4x4 wheeler brought us there from Cemara Indah Hotel at 3:00 AM. After the sunrise we descend to Sand Sea of Tengger - the bottom of the caldera, where we have started our 40 minutes hike to the top of active Bromo Volcano.
