The above video response was recorded in October of 2022 with first and second-year English students at Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine. The questions posed were created by Americans who are interested in knowing more about Ukrainian culture and the young people who live it.

Thank you to Marta Demchyshyn at UCU, for your support and instilling in your classroom, an atmosphere that would encourage such quality responses. And finally to the young people of UCU, who I've had the opportunity to join this month in Lviv. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am so impressed with your mastery of the English language and the quality of these presentations. I am sure that those in the United States who asked directed questions will benefit from the thoughtful responses posed here, as will many others who tune in to listen.

Finally, I am thoroughly impressed that these young people are so awake as to where they stand here and now, at eighteen years old, on the edge of war, at the precipice of the possible demise of their country, or the flowering bud of a new Ukraine. The resolve and courage I've seen and heard throughout Ukraine, but particularly here in this classroom, and on these videos, with these students, bodes well for the future of a New Ukraine..
