In this video we install an electrical flow switch in conjunction with a relay switch to turn on and off a UV filter automatically for filtering water.

Materials:

Ultraviolet UV filter 12 watts
Omron LY2 relay switch 250 volts AC 10 amps *
DN15 G1/2 flow switch 250 volts AC 0.3 amps
Terminal Block
Electrical outlet for plugging in factory plug on the UV filter

In previous video we tried the same without the relay switch, but the flow switch burnt out. However, now that we have the relay switch, the flow switch is only used to activate the coil in the relay switch which draws a much smaller current than the UV filter.
