How To Replace RADIATOR HOSES

Описание к видео How To Replace RADIATOR HOSES

Replacing the UPPER radiator hose on a 1976 C3 Corvette Stingray is one of the easiest projects for the average do-it-yourselfer.

However, I must admit that replacing the LOWER radiator hose in my 1976 C3 Corvette Stingray pushed me to my limits, and made me question my wanna-be-Corvette-restorer abilities several times.

But with enough time, patience, and lubrication, I succeeded.

I used a water-soluble lube since you DO NOT want to use petroleum-based products on rubber hoses. Dish or laundry detergent can also be used. And even though I did the whole project all by myself, having a helper you may not be a bad idea.

Last but not least is using the best hose clamps money can buy. Some of the cheap ones available at many big-box auto parts stores are weak and will not do the job, so spending a few extra dollars on top-of-the-line hose clamps is a must!

If you are in the process of replacing the radiator and the fan shroud is out, then by all means take that opportunity to install a new lower radiator hose. In that case, the process will be easy as pie!

I hope this video gives you a better understanding as far as what's involved in getting this project done properly from start to finish.

Thank you for watching! 🙂👍🏻
