Once the closing disclosure is sent by the lender, buyer has three days to review and only then can buyer sign the loan docs.


Once the package is prepared, escrow is then ready to have you sign all of the loan documents.


Set aside sufficient time for signing as there are so many forms to sign in today’s lending environment. Consider arranging for a child care so you can focus on the task at hand.


Agents do not need to be present during signing but as an agent, I attend buyer’s loan docs signing mostly because clients are more comfortable asking me questions than a notary who they just met that day. I ask the lender ahead of time to be on standby in the event that the buyer has questions with regards to the loan docs.
