RECIPE:

GIANT BURGER (serves 4-6)

INGREDIENTS:

For the burgers:
1 large boule (about 8-10 inches in diameter)
3 lbs. ground beef
3 large eggs
½ cup fine bread crumbs
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoons fresh cracked pepper
Garlic salt

Toppings:
American cheese
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Sliced onions
Mustard
Ketchup
Pickles

Milkshake:
4 scoops strawberry ice cream
¼ cup milk
Whipped topping for serving

DIRECTIONS:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and mix well. Shape into a large burger patty on a sheet of parchment paper to make transferring to the pan easy. Be sure to make the patty about 1 inch larger in diameter than the bun you chose. Season the top of the patty with garlic salt.

Spray a large griddle or cast iron skillet with cooking spray. Add the patty, garlic salt side facing down and peel off the parchment paper. Season the remaining side of the patty with a little bit more garlic salt. Cook the patty for about 5 minutes then flip and cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the internal temperature of burger reads 160 degrees on a meat thermometer. Add enough slices of cheese to cover patty and allow the cheese to melt.

Add the patty to the bun and add toppings as you like.

To make the milkshake, add the strawberry ice cream to a blender with about ¼ cup of milk. Blend until smooth. Top with whipped topping.

About Christy Carlson Romano:
Christy has been a working actress and singer since she was 6 years old. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 14 to star in the Disney Channel franchise, Even Stevens as Ren Stevens alongside Shia LaBeouf. Christy returned to Broadway in her mid twenties and learned to puppeteer in the Tony-Award winning ‘Avenue Q’. Christy was married to her husband on New Years Eve , 2013 in Banff, Canada after having met in a screenwriting class in college. She became impassioned with directing and made her debut in Lionsgate’s “Christmas All Over Again”. While she still works as an actress, she enjoys living in Orange County with her husband, Brendan Rooney, and daughters, Isabella and Sophia.
