While this isn't a "budget review," per se, at around $1,000, this guitar is still affordable, and you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. (The FS-TA is under $700, which is has mahogany instead of rosewood). This is a quality instrument in its own right without the effects, but if you play fingerstyle, you may never want to play a regular guitar again. The experience of the reverb coming through the guitar makes it come alive, and oddly, it feels more natural, like you're sitting inside the guitar.

It's worth the hype. It has it's place, but it's not a gimmick. I think it's a true advancement for the instrument, like it's coming home in some sort of ancient future way.
