5 years ago, almost to the day, we were hit with one of those 100-year ice storms. The kind that are referenced for decades. Well here comes what may turn out to be our second of those storms.

Last time we were without power for 11 days. We lost around 20 mature trees on our 4 acres of land. Luckily, that time the roads were completely fine. It had been warm enough the days leading up to the storm that nothing stuck to the roads or sidewalks, only the trees, powerlines, grassy and shaded areas.

This time we won't be so lucky. It's currently 17 degrees and has been all day. It started snowing 2.5 hours ago. Predictions had us 10 degrees warmer today and snow not starting for 2 more hours.
