02 Data Shown on P&ID VS PFD - P&ID Course 101

Описание к видео 02 Data Shown on P&ID VS PFD - P&ID Course 101

Learn the key differences between a PFD and a P&ID and understand the importance of the P&ID in defining project scope and costs. This video explains what details must be included in a Piping and Instrumentation Diagram that are not typically shown in a Process Flow Diagram. Find out how the P&ID forms the basis for detailed engineering design and quantification of equipment.

P&IDs (or in other words piping and instrument diagrams) are considered as
a key document when designing or upgrading any process plant.

Through the P&ID, we are supposed to be aware of how the plant shall operate. A well designed P&ID preparation would lead to smooth project execution. In addition, it shall identify main risks.
This would reduce the probability of issues when running the plant.

In this video, we shall see the data that are expected to be shown on the P&IDs and how the P&ID is expected to give more level of detail.
