The EthicsLab: Responsible Action in the Real World' Trinity Elective - Professor Linda Hogan, School of Religion desribes how, in this elective, you will debate, address and hopefully try to resolve, some of the major ethical challenges of our day. These challenges include questions about artificial intelligence, gene editing and big data. But ethics today is not just concerned with the upper limits of science. 

You will debate the importance of values and their prioritization, ethical biases and blind-spots, intentions and consequences, and this will happen in a lab-environment, with students and professors from different fields of study across the university.

You will engage with specially-commissioned TED-style talks delivered online by leading thinkers, and you will co-design solutions for the ethical challenges of the present and future, across many fields including technology, health, politics, education, law and business.

Trinity Electives are stand-alone 5 ECTS modules outside of students’ core disciplines.
