Ornstein and Smough - boss theme (8-bit version)

Dragonslayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough from Dark Souls by Hidetaka Miyazaki.

One of the greatest boss fights in all the Soulsborne series, which happens to have one of the greatest soundtracks too.

It started with Sean's pixel art, which was assembled piece by piece in a pixel art editor, and then Doug used a midi editor (Ableton Live Lite) to put together note by note an approximation of the theme of the boss fight. Hope you enjoy it - we have more to come.

The more assiduous listener might recognise there is no harp. Decided not to try and make an 8-bit version of one, and I thought having a purely orchestral software instrument would confuse the sonic landscape too much.
