Bitcoin supporters, on the other hand, argued that Schiff was distorting the data and that Bitcoin was appreciating incomparably faster than gold. While gold hit an all-time high in the second quarter of 2024, Bitcoin's rise pales in comparison. The likes of Dan Held and Willy Woo criticized Schiff, reminding him of Bitcoin's previous price increases.
