Alfred Tries To Play: Imperium (SNES)

Are you ready for the events of this game? You should be as they're due to take place in 2027, 3 years from now. Are you gonna be the willing human ready to fly a special suit of body armor to help enslaved mechanized creatures beat their robotic overlords?

And that's the plot for this interesting shooter which certainly feels different. You only have 1 life, but can take up to 5 hits before dying. But the interesting thing is the RPG-like levelling up system. Shooting enough enemies levels you up which first provides you extra weapons and then upgrades those weapons. Levelling up also restores a lost hit point if you lost any.

Combine this with a great soundtrack and this odd little game is worth a look.
