The Big Beautiful Bill, the worst bill in American history, is now projected to make 60% of the country poorer and shrink the economy by 5% over 30 years. That’s on top of adding the most debt to the country in history:
Kicking nearly 20 million off their healthcare by cutting medicaid
Raising healthcare premiums by $26,000 a year
Getting rid of the Pell grant and Grad School loans.
Increasing your taxes
Getting rid of solar and wind power in order to invest in coal
Creating routine power outages and charging more for that power.
And lastly making ICE, who many say act like the Secret Police, into the largest law enforcement branch in the country.
The House now has to pass the Senate’s version. Republican Congressman Thomas Massie from Kentucky says he has 10 No votes to block the bill in the house. They only need around 3 new Republican No votes, because all of the Democrats are voting no. Republican Chuck Edwards of North Carolina is a No vote right now and earlier today he went to meet with Trump at the White House. When he left he said Trump didn’t change his mind. Derrick Van Orden of Wisconsin was asked today if Republicans were only supporting this terrible bill because Trump wants them to - and he lashed out! Saying “The president of the United States didn't give us an assignment. We're not a bunch of little ***** around here, okay? I'm a member of Congress.” I guess we’re all the hero of our story, but objectively he’s definitely acting like a little *****.
