Keukenhof Tulip Gardens 🌷 a flower paradise near Amsterdam

If you are wondering where to see tulips in the Netherlands, you are at the right place. Keukenhof Tulip Gardens are only 30 minutes away from Amsterdam, situated in the beautiful Lisse, and they literally plant millions of flowers every year.

We visited Keukenhof on the 1st of April, so not all the flowers were in bloom yet. As you can see from the part with a windmill, there are actual tulip fields there. But unfortunately, we were a bit early to see them bloom. But anyway, it was marvelous and you can still see lots and lots of tulips in the Netherlands in the first part of April.

There are some Keukenhof tips that I can give:

Book your ticket in advance not to stand in a huge line in front of the gardens.

You can come with a direct transfer in both ways, so no need to rent a car.

That being said, take a look at the shuttle timetable to know the time of the first and the last transfer.

Take a map at the entrance to plan your route and locate different facilities.

Come as early as you can to explore the gardens before it’s too crowded.
