San Antonio to Virginia Beach: A 2,000-mile road trip across the U.S. driving only on back roads

In June 2024, I took a road trip back from San Antonio, TX to Virginia Beach, experiencing the road entirely through backroads and state highways! This drive was much more relaxing than a constant high-speed journey on a freeway.

Hang out and experience the 2,000 miles of secondary roads as I travel in my Subaru Outback from San Antonio, TX back to Virginia Beach, VA! Enjoy a ride through the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, the winding backroads of Western Louisiana, Central Mississippi and Western Alabama, and a maze of roads throughout Georgia while making my way towards the coastline of South Carolina. The Myrtle Beach Ocean Blvd. Strip is featured in this trip back as well during my traversal up the coast and inner coastal regions of North Carolina, on the way to Virginia Beach.
